Edouard Sabourdy

Doctor of Chiropractic, one of the Sea Quiroprática founder, I worked in multidisciplinary clinics in Italy (Pont-Saint-Martin, Aosta, Torino), then for more than 5 years in Hồ Chí Minh City, Vietnam and after 10 months cycling with my wife in Eurasia from Vietnam to France, we decided to start a new adventure : opening our own clinic in the beautiful Algarve of Portugal.

As an evidence based Chiropractor, I like to update my knowledge through seminars and got certified :

SFMA (Selective Functional Movement Assessment, level 1 and 2)
Dry needling
Kinesio-tape (1 and 2)
ATM (Active Therapeutic Movement)

The region of the body I prefer to treat ? Cervical vertebrae (neck).

I speak French, English, Italian, Vietnamese (limited working proficiency), Portuguese (limited working proficiency but learning)

Amandine Guillemard Sabourdy

Doctor of Chiropractic, one of the Sea Quiroprática founder, I worked in Hồ Chí Minh City, Vietnam for 2 years and after 10 months cycling with my husband in Eurasia from Vietnam to France, we decided to start a new adventure : opening our own clinic in the beautiful Algarve of Portugal.

Before working as a Chiropractor, I experienced teaching in a Kindergarden in Saigon, Vietnam during a year and enjoyed it. It opened a new window in my head, that’s how came up my new goal :
educate patients on proper posture and explain how the body works.

As a natural practitioner I enjoy to provide advices about nutrition, herbal medicines with a scientific approach.

I speak French, English, Vietnamese (limited working proficiency), Portuguese (limited working proficiency but learning).

Sigrid Sabourdy-Bimbenet

Doctor of Chiropractic, one of the Sea Quiroprática founder, I worked in Chamonix in front of Mont-Blanc, France for 32 years. After some stays in Portugal, I decided to settle in this beautiful country.

It was at the age of 17 that I discovered Chiropractic, following serious back problems I met by chance a Chiropractor.

After a single session, I felt so good that I decided to go to the USA, to Palmer College of Chiropractic.

On my return, I settled in Chamonix, in the Alps to practice on everyone from babies to seniors, especially on the great sportsmen who swarm in this region.

I use gentle techniques that consist of rebalancing the spine in order to achieve harmony in the body and good health.

It is with great happiness that I am going to share my experience of this interesting profession with my son and my daughter-in-law, back from Vietnam. l am ready to live this new adventure in Algarve.

I speak French, English, and am learning Portuguese.

Health through Chiropractic
Chiropractic is a natural healthcare discipline that emphasizes the inherent recuperative power of the body to heal itself without the use of drugs or surgery.

Travelling companion
Our body is our envelop which interacts from our first breath until our last. It accompanies us through our journey and deals every day with different kind of stress. When it can no longer compensate, an alarm or symptom occurs: time to change or modify some habits!
Chiropractic focuses on the relationship between the spine and the body itself and how that relationship affects the preservation and restoration of health.

About Balance
Examples of stress affecting the body natural functions :
Physical / structural: accidents, falls, bad work positions, etc
Chemical/organic: alcohol, tobacco, drugs, unbalanced diet, etc
Emotional/psychological: anxiety, family problems, difficulties at work, etc
Doctors of Chiropractic detect the different compensations accumulated over time that can cause imbalances and pain then help the body to restore its health to its optimal level through gentle and specific techniques.

Neurologic and orthopedic assessments

During the initial visit, Chiropractors perform a physical examination, evaluate the ranges of motion of the joints with a special emphasis on the spine. Other examinations or tests such as x-rays, MRI (Magnetic Resonance Imagery) or blood tests may also be performed or prescribed.

Posture analysis

Tilt of the head, shift of the pelvis, swinging tendancy, the Chiropractor observes the posture of the person and its compensations

Chiropractic care

Doctors of Chiropractic perform adjustments (manipulations) to the spine or other parts of the body with the goal of correcting problems, alleviating pain, improving function, and supporting the body’s natural ability to heal itself. Given mainly to the spine, a chiropractic adjustment involves using the hands or a device to apply a controlled, rapid force to a joint. The goal is to increase the range and quality of motion in the area being treated and to aid in restoring health. Joint mobilization is another type of manual therapy that may be used.

Care plan

The Chiropractor establishes a treatment plan for the patient to assess the number of visits required. The aims are relief, stabilization and improvement.
